Neoprene. White surface, textured black underside. The kind of object that disappears into a desk for years and only reveals itself when somebody asks where it came from.

The neoprene matters. It is the difference between a mousepad that holds its position through a fast cursor sweep and one that does not. Mukk-04 specified the backing weight. The decision was not arbitrary.

The print is the Bitcoin glyph. White ground, orange mark. The contrast was chosen for desks that are mostly other things — keyboards, monitors, cables. The mousepad is meant to sit underneath all of it without competing for attention.

Hemmed edges. Three sizes. A mousepad will outlive the mouse on top of it, if the mousepad is built correctly. This one is built correctly.

• Sublimation print — the colour is in the fibre, not on it

• Spot clean with warm water and dish soap
• Soft-bristled brush for stubborn marks
